Pittsburgh® Paints is committed to making environmentally progressive products. Many of our paint lines have low volatile organic compound (VOC) contents enabling them to assist architects, designers and building owners achieve LEED certification.
In fact, we developed the first paint to be awarded the coveted Green Seal® Class A Certification - Pure Performance®. It contains zero VOC, which means it has no detrimental effect on air quality. Pure Performance® also has very low odor, making it possible to paint a room and occupy it all within the same day. These facts are particularly important to spaces that have either small children or seniors living in them.
In addition, we support regional sourcing, encourage the use of alternative energy, and seek to reduce the environmental impact of our packaging. In short, we understand that active environmental stewardship is one of our firm’s greatest responsibilities and we are pleased and honored to share in the industry’s continuing pledge to global sustainability.
